MIM and Tuesday Trigger
HI!
It's been a beautiful weekend here in San Diego so far and i am enjoying the cool breeze that comes from the ocean through my windows :) It's SO nice to feel that breeze since the last few days our weather has been a little coo coo! Can you believe it was 100 degrees a couple of days during the week!! Crazy I know! and for those friends that have to deal with that kind of weather all the time...hats off to you :) I am a San Diegan and WE for the most part have perfect weather :)
So since i am enjoying today i decided to play aloing a couple of challenges this week...
Over on the Papertrey Blog the Make it Monday Video is all about making backgrounds out of non-background stamps and over on the Moxie Fab Blog there is a gorgeous Tuesday Trigger photograph that has inspired me to create this card :)
I used a little flourish from Mat Stack 1 to create the backgound and added a small "hello" in the center from Ribbon Tails.
I also used some Marta Stewart Teardrop Inks that i had hidden away a while ago :) "A little sign and have way to much stuff" lol
Enjoy your day!

there's some sparkle in the green centers of the flowers, but because of the poor lighting you are unable to see it in the photograph...just imagine it :)

I'm feeling mighty cheery today! My husband is busy designing, my daughter is away camping with some friends for the summer and that means that I get to play all day long! Yay me! Occasionally I get those days and I am so thankful for them. Making cards brings me so much joy :)
Don't get me wrong, my husband is a dream come true and my daughter....well what can I say...she is my princess :) and i love spending time with them....but sometimes mama needs a break *wink*
So today I will show you what I made while I got to play. I love the ColourQ Challenge Blog, there is so much room for imagination. The inspiration photos/colors are amazing and its so much fun getting to be creative and come up with my own representation :)
So here is the challenge photo
Here is my creation...
I cut these cute flowers from DCWV Fun in the Sun Summer Glitter Stack. Aren't these flowers so cute? I love the glitter! They give the right amount of sparkle :)
Well that's all for today :) I hope you are having a great day...got to run back to my craft table for more fun!

April Showers
This month over on the Verve Blog the challenge is called "April Showers Bring May Flowers"...what a wonderful challenge!
This month my life has a lot to do with "April Showers"...and I can't wait to see those flowers!
My mother fell ill at the begging of April and she has been in and out of the hospital twice this month and as we speak she is still in... I am the primary caregiver and I've been up and down and in and out of hospitals and doctors offices. Thank God the problem was found today and fixed...her heart needed a tune up :) Praise God for his wonderful miracles!
During the sleepless nights I found myself diving into my card making and it brought me so much joy and peace :) I never knew I loved making cards so much and how therapeutic it has been for me, it has helped me keep my sanity. My mother is my inspiration, I am who I am today because of her...If I am ever half of the woman of God she is...I have indeed accomplished something in my life. God gave me a loving, selfless mother, and I am so thankful for her.
I wanted to make something for my mom, something beautiful that would bring joy to her heart :) and here is my creation for this months dare...
It's bright and cheery...and it's the perfect sentiment for her...because she ALWAYS makes me smile :)
i love you mom :)
